研究テーマ

• 過去の環境を知るための古環境復元を専門としており，花粉や有孔虫の化石を使って陸域や海域の過去の環境（気温・水温，降水量，海流など）の変化を明らかにしている． 現在はアンデス地域（特にペルー）において，古環境復元と考古学を融合した環境考古学的な視点から，環境変化と人間活動や文明の成立などとの関係を明らかにすることを目指している．
